Ironheart: I get that that Marvel Cinematic Universe burnout is totally a thing and this is technically Superman’s weekend, but if you were going to skip watching the, uh, 14th Marvel TV show, please reconsider.

Full of great music, and fascinatingly aware of living in the shadow of Thanos and The Avengers, what really makes this gritty show tick is when the science starts bumping up against the realm of magic introduced by Doctor Strange and delightfully continued in WandaVision and Agatha All Along.

The show can get a bit silly with the tech, but this goes all the way back to the first Iron Man movie, and Dominique Thorne and Lyric Ross are both delightfully fleshed out with Spidey-like real-life problems, making bad decisions with consequences.

Hopefully it hasn’t been spoiled for you already, but the way the first season ends is phenomenal, ending Phase 5 of the MCU with an amazing, long-teased payoff.
