See it: Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward ask Giants fan which QB he’d preferon February 2, 2025 at 1:21 pm

If the New York Giants have their choice of quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft, will they select Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders or Miami’s Cam Ward?

That’s certainly up for debate and it’s a hot topic among Giants fans. Even Sanders and Ward have decided to have a little fun with it.

During the East-West Shrine Bowl earlier this week, the two cornered a Giants fan and asked him point-blank which of the two quarterbacks he would prefer general manager Joe Schoen take.

Much to their amusement, things got a little awkward.

“He said he was a Giants fan, so I said, ‘Pick one,’” Sanders said, pointing to the fan.

Initially, the Giants fan froze and hesitated to answer. Sanders and Ward got a good chuckle out of it.

“Whichever one falls,” the fan eventually responded.

“If Travis (Hunter) goes one, Abdul Carter goes two, and we both fall,” Ward asked.

“I’m taking you,” the fan said, pointing to Ward.

When pressed to explain his decision, the Giants fan had no answer. The poor guy looked like a deer in headlights.

It would be a good problem to have for the Giants, who have heavily scouted both Sanders and Ward. Even with the quarterback class considered subpar to the 2024 class, being put in the position to choose would be a best-case scenario.
