CARROLLTON, Texas — Southbound Interstate 35E was shut down Friday morning in Carrollton after a crash involving a semi-truck, officials said.
All main lanes of southbound I-35E at Belt Line Road, heading into Dallas, were closed around 4:20 a.m. The crash involved an 18-wheeler that appeared to have spun out and was then left abandoned, Carrollton police said. Diesel fuel spilled across the highway, and HAZMAT crews were called to help clean it up.
Major delays were expected on southbound I-35E through the morning commute.
