The company recently announced the appointment of Chris Fenn as Head of Marine, London, and John Hopper as Head of Energy. Chris Fenn joins SiriusPoint with over 25 years of experience in the marine and energy insurance industry. His previous roles at Markel International, where he served for 14 years, include Senior Liability Underwriter Marine, Managing Director, Marine, and Divisional Managing Director, Marine. Fenn’s appointment underscores SiriusPoint’s focus on developing and executing its marine insurance strategy on a global scale.
John Hopper, with three decades of experience in marine, offshore, and renewable energy underwriting, will lead SiriusPoint’s Energy team. Hopper’s extensive background includes senior roles at QBE Europe and AmTrust’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 1861, where he served as Head of Energy. His appointment highlights SiriusPoint’s commitment to maintaining and expanding its energy portfolio in London and internationally.
Additionally, SiriusPoint announced the appointment of Victoria Hopgood as Senior Underwriter, Energy, further strengthening its Energy team. Hopgood brings valuable experience from her previous role at Liberty Specialty Markets.
