Socialite Rebecca Grossman Found Guilty of Murder in Deaths of Two Young Boys

Rebecca Grossman, a prominent Southern California resident, was found guilty of all charges, including murder, in the horrific incident that resulted in the deaths of two young men. A Los Angeles County jury reached the verdict after nearly two days of deliberations. Grossman, 60, was convicted of two counts of murder, two counts of vehicular homicide by gross negligence and one count of hit and run.

The incident occurred in 2020 when Grossman’s car hit 11-7-year-old Mark Iskander and his 8-year-old brother Jacob while crossing a crosswalk in Westlake Village. Prosecutors argued that Grossman was driving too fast at the time of the accident and was injured. The boy’s grieving parents, Nancy and Karim Iskander, expressed relief at the decision taken more than three years ago.

Grossman’s defense said authorities jumped to conclusions and pointed the finger at former Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson, whom the jury ultimately found responsible. Prosecutors presented evidence that Grossman was traveling 81 mph in a 45 mph zone before the crash.

Following the verdict, Grossman was taken into custody and was scheduled for April 10. He could have been fined more than 34 mph and sentenced to several years in prison. Despite her sadness, Nancy Iskander expressed sympathy for the Grossman family and said her heart broke for them. The prosecutor said he plans to appeal the decision, citing errors in the case.

This case shows the desperation experienced by the İskender family and the difficulty of investigating a murder. Although the defense tried to avoid indictment, the jury found Grossman guilty in the fatal crash. The decision brings closure to the Alexander family, who have endured great pain and loss since the tragic incident.
