South Side family searching for at-risk missing man, Chicago police say​on March 9, 2025 at 7:18 am

A missing man who, 25-year-old Herschell Lewis, was last seen February 26 in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood and may be in need of medical attention, Chicago police said.

A South Side family told ABC7 a 25-year-old at-risk missing man, Herschell Lewis, and was last seen near 83rd and South Aberdeen.

Herschell Lewis, 25, went missing on February 26, Chicago police said.

He was last seen near West 83rd Street and South Aberdeen Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

Family members said he may be confused and in need of medical attention.

Lewis is 5’11” and weighs 215 pounds.

His mother, Meiko McKee-Lewis, told ABC7 she has been out every day searching and putting up his pictures in places they frequent. She said there have been a couple of sightings.

“I can’t do it alone,” McKee-Lewis said. “Just get the word out, because I want to bring my baby home safe and sound.”

Anyone with information about Lewis’ location has been asked to call the Special Victims Unit with the Chicago Police Department at (312) 746-6000.
