EXCLUSIVE: Sydney-based production company Causeway Films, known for The Babadook, You Won’t Be Alone, Talk To Me, and the upcoming Bring Her Back, has appointed Black Bear’s VP of Film and Television, Sleena Wilson, as Head of Development.
Wilson will relocate from Los Angeles to Sydney for the role and lead development of the company’s expanding slate.
Wilson joins Causeway Films after over five years at Black Bear, during which she oversaw the development of a diverse slate of projects. Most recently, she was part of the producing team behind Oscar nominee Sing Sing, starring Colman Domingo and Clarence Maclin. She was also part of the team behind Monsieur Spade, the eight-part series for AMC and AMC+ starring Clive Owen.
Causeway is in post on A24’s Bring Her Back, which was recently picked up by Sony, and Dario Russo’s The Fox, starring Emily Browning, Jai Courtney, and Zlatko Boric. Talk To Me became A24’s top genre release in North America.
