COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas A&M Athletics has announced a new multi-million dollar deal with Playfly Sports that will nearly double the amount the university’s athletic department will earn annually.

The announcement gives Texas A&M the largest media rights deal in all of college athletics and is a 15-year fully guaranteed deal that’s worth $34 million a year, totaling $515 million.

“We are entering a new era of collegiate athletics and Texas A&M is positioned to be a strong leader,” said Texas A&M Director of Athletics Trev Alberts in an announcement on Friday. “This partnership with Playfly reflects our commitment to innovation, maximizing our revenue potential, and providing new opportunities for our student-athletes, fans, and corporate partners. Our ability to find and grow, approved, fair market NIL deals to organically grow our cap will be critically important. With a focus on NIL, premium experiences, and strategic partnerships, we are excited about the transformative impact this collaboration will have on our programs, our university, and the entire Aggie Network.”

The move was first reported by Billy Liucci of TexAgs and later confirmed by the Texas A&M athletics department.

Previously, A&M athletics had an $18 million annual deal with Learfield Sports, which is set to expire later this year. Both sides have been connected through agreements since 2006. The deal that was inked today will secure Texas A&M with Playfly through 2040.

“Texas A&M is clearly at the forefront in the near-constant evolution of collegiate athletics, and we intend to serve as a key driver in further bolstering and monetizing its powerhouse brand,” said President of Playfly Sports Properties Christy Hedgpeth. “It is particularly compelling to partner with Trev and his team because we share a strong belief that commercial modernization is an absolute imperative for future success in college sports.”

Texas A&M joins over two dozen athletic programs across the U.S. in a partnership with Playfly, with a select number currently residing in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Those include Auburn University and Louisiana State University (LSU).

Other notable athletic programs aligned with Playfly include Baylor University, Penn State, Michigan State, Maryland, Nebraska, and the University of Southern California (USC). Playfly is also partnered with the ACC, Big East, and Pac-12 athletic conferences.
