Long-running reality dating show The Bachelor is back, and there’s a familiar face that’s up for romantic grabs in its 29th season. 

This season’s female contestants will be aiming to woo Grant Ellis, who you may remember as a past contestant on Jenn Tran’s season of spin-off show, The Bachelorette. Things didn’t work out for Grant on that show, but Jenn’s loss looks set to be the gain of one of 25 hopefuls battling out for the former pro basketball player from New Jersey’s attention. 

Currently working as a day trader, 31-year-old Grant describes himself as a “self-proclaimed mama’s boy.”

Premiere date for The Bachelor, Season 29

The new season of The Bachelor is scheduled to debut in the US on ABC on Monday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with a two-hour episode. Episodes will also land on Hulu the next day. The show will air episodes each week at the same time. Past seasons of The Bachelor have typically run for nine to 13 episodes.

Several streaming services offer access to ABC, with live TV streaming platforms such as YouTube TV, Hulu Plus Live TV and Sling among them. Though Sling TV offers ABC only in select markets, its cost is $45 per month for those who can get local ABC stations.
