The major ferry service perfect for families with games room, cinema and special hub

HOLIDAY season is just around the corner, and for those with kids it could be stressful.

Despite all the lovely memories made in new places, it can sometimes become a lot to handle when you take into account the planning, packing, childcare and the holiday itself.

Whether it’s a lack of entertainment for the children, or the astronomical prices that you may find, family holidays are not always plain sailing.

Stena Line is encouraging parents to consider taking the ferry this year, with loads to offer on board.

The ships have space for 115 passengers.

Whether you’re heading on a short route that takes a couple of hours, or an overnight trip, there is loads to keep the little ones entertained.

Not only is it more comfortable, but it is also more enjoyable.

You can even bring your car with you, driving on board the ferry before leaving it in the bay to head up to the passenger deck.

There is a Happy World play area for the little ones, a game zone, and a POD Lounge with consoles and interactive games.

The Adventurer, which crosses between Dublin and Holyhead has a new Family Hub which recently launched.

The family-friendly space has digital floor projections, a gaming corner, a wall-to-wall playful carpet and a toddler and kids area.

You can visit the Good to Go coffee counter and a range of seating for both relaxation and active play.

This means that kids can play while parents keep a watchful eye surrounded by comfort and style.

Or you can head to the cinema and take in a free movie in the Movie Lounge.

By taking your own ferry, you can build your own itinerary, explore your destination at your own pace and even better, you don’t have to worry about luggage limits.

Stena Line Travel Commercial Manager, Orla Noonan said: “It is no surprise so many parents consider travelling with their children so stressful, there is just so much to consider.

“We know ferry travel is one of the most relaxing ways to travel and that is why at Stena Line we want to ensure our younger passengers are entertained from the second they set foot onboard.

“There is no better example of this than our incredible new Family Hub on Stena Adventurer.

“It’s full of innovation and, inspired by our Nordic heritage, the overall design of the area creates a warm and playful balance ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children and a relaxing crossing for parents ahead of their onward journey.

“And, with a range of other entertainment offerings across our fleet, our hygge inspired vessels will ensure everyone in your family will feel energised and renewed ahead of their onward journey.”

This comes just after a recent survey by Jojo Maman Bebe showed that 61 per cent of parents say travelling with children is a little bit on the stressful side, which Stena Line is trying to change.
