TLC’s New ‘Polyfamily’ Series Looks At Two Couples Who Live Together As A “Closed Polyamorous Quad”; Unveils Trailer & Premiere Date​on March 18, 2025 at 12:14 am

TLC is diving into the world of polyamory in its new series Polyfamily. It’s set to premiere Tuesday, April 29 at 10 pm on TLC.

Described as “a fascinating, vulnerable and unpredictable look at love, loyalty and the complexities of modern family life,” Polyfamily “follows two married couples, Alysia & Tyler and Sean & Taya, who have chosen to live together as a closed quad. In this unconventional family set up, Tyler is dating Sean’s wife, Taya, and Sean is dating Tyler’s wife, Alysia. With four children already and another on the way, the quad is redefining what it means to be a family,” per the logline.

“A closed quad is four people, us, we’re only dating within ourselves and married within ourselves,” Sean explains in the trailer, which you can watch above. “We don’t have any outside partners.”

“Like everybody else, right?” Tyler quips.

“We never set out to live our lives like this, but we realized we could love more than one person and make our own rules as to what we want our family to look like,” adds Alysia.

It’s revealed in the trailer that Taya is pregnant, but the identity of the father isn’t know.

“Since the guys switch rooms every night, we don’t know who the fathers of the younger boys are,” Taya says, then jokes, “I can assure you, it is one of two people!”
