A 30-year-old Toronto man is facing two counts of second-degree murder following a Brampton shooting last year.

Peel Regional Police said on June 2, 2024, they responded to a shooting on Piane Ave.
Police said there was an altercation in a vehicle involving a suspect and two young male victims. Cops said shots were fired and the two victims fled on foot. Officers were able to locate them nearby.
Cops said one of the victims was shot and transported to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition. He survived his injuries. The second young male victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
Following a lengthy investigation, it was determined that the suspect had fled the country shortly after the incident. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.

Charged is Solomon Adu-Twum. At the time of his arrest on Sunday, police said Adu-Twum was on conditions for firearm-related offences.
