‘We listen and we don’t judge’ is a clever method for people to admit the selfish things they have been doing behind their loved ones’ backs in what is supposed to be a ‘judgment-free zone.’

The videos see couples, besties, and family members sit down to spill all. They start off by saying: ‘We listen and we don’t judge’ in unison, before dishing on the secrets they have been keeping.

The two people often use the safe space to share some pretty outrageous things, and let’s just say they end up judging… and so do we!

Some TikTok users have admitted shocking truths, including lying to their loved ones about being sick, busy, or working, just so that they don’t have to spend time with them.

The videos often end in tears with plenty of people jokingly captioning the posts: ‘This ended in us breaking up.’

Examples of some of the wildest confessions include people saying they ‘pretend to be asleep’ so they don’t have to help their partner with their children or saying they got ‘stuck at the office’ so they don’t have to attend events with their significant other.

Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo took part in the gas trend, though their video was a whole lot tamer than some of the others that are floating around on the app.

Jamie came in with all guns blazing, telling Sophie he: ‘Once got a parking ticket, and I put it in your bag and pretended it was you.’

Sophie got her own back on her businessman hubby, telling him: ‘Sometimes at weddings when you ask me to get you a beer I put a non-alcoholic in it, so you don’t get drunk and annoy me.’

Jamie took the cake though, when he told Sophie: ‘Remember that contract we had to sign on the house? That was actually a pre-nup.’ The pair erupted into laughter, with Sophie still unsure whether he was joking.

When done right the trend can be hilarious, but be warned it can also go very, very wrong!
