ANTRIM’S Ulster Championship game with Armagh on April 12 is expected to go ahead at Corrigan Park.
It is understood an agreement has been reached between the Antrim county board and the Ulster Council after weeks of indecision and controversy over where the game would be played.
The Antrim players and management team threatened to boycott tonight’s Ulster SFC launch in Armagh but a statement is expected confirming the 4,000-capacity Corrigan Park will host the game.
Antrim stated it was ‘Corrigan Park or Nowhere’ with the Ulster Council citing health and safety concerns over the Whiterock venue.
A fortnight ago, the Ulster Council announced the Antrim-Armagh game would be played at Pairc Esler – but after a public backlash and lobbying by Antrim officials, Corrigan Park will be the venue.
