Victim found dead in West Side park was 16-year-old girl: medical examiner​on March 20, 2025 at 1:56 am

Authorities have identified a 16-year-old girl as the female victim found dead in a West side park earlier this week.

Kaylah Aleah Love was found dead around 5 p.m. Monday in Horan Park, in the Garfield Park neighborhood. On Tuesday, the Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled her death a homicide due to multiple injuries in an assault.

Police initially weren’t able to confirm Love’s identity and age when she was first discovered. A department representative said Harrison area detectives were continuing their investigation and that no one was in custody as of Wednesday night.
