Victoria police have released CCTV footage in the hopes of identifying a suspect after a parked Tesla Cybertruck was allegedly keyed on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at 2:23 p.m. in the 800-block of Humboldt Street and was caught on the Cybertruck’s security cameras.

The keying incident is the second reported case of mischief involving a Tesla this year in the Victoria area. A separate incident was reported on Feb. 13 when obscenities were written on the side of a dusty Cybertruck.

In Vancouver, there have been 28 acts of vandalism against Teslas, charging stations or car dealerships since January.

Protests were held Saturday and Sunday in Vancouver, Surrey and Langley as part of a global demonstration against the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

“While everyone is entitled to express themselves lawfully and peacefully, nobody has the right to use violence, damage property, or intimidate others,” said VPD constable Tanya Visintin on Friday.
