Weekend weather teases warmer week ahead in Chicago​on February 22, 2025 at 2:07 pm

The weather this weekend is just the start to warming weather coming in the week ahead in Chicago.

After several frigid days, the weekend is offering some above-freezing temperatures with highs around 34 in the Chicago area on Saturday and climbing to around 41 on Sunday with some more sunshine expected, according to the National Weather Service. Lows on Saturday are still in the 20s, while Sunday’s lows are around 33.

The week ahead is expected to be even more of a welcome refuge with highs in the upper 40s starting Monday and staying there Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecasted lows are right around the low-to-mid 30s.

A 30% chance of rain is also on the forecast for Monday night.
