A 75-year-old woman is dead after a four-vehicle collision in south Edmonton on Thursday morning.
Police are still investigating but believe the woman suffered a medical episode before the crash.
At roughly 7:40 a.m., officers responded to a collision at 113 Street and 65 Avenue, said police in a release.
Police said the 75-year-old woman was driving a Honda CRV south on 113 Street approaching 65 Avenue when the CRV rear-ended a Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 53-year-old woman.

The CRV continued south, striking a Honda Civic driven by a 26-year-old woman, and then the Civic rear-ended a Nissan Rogue operated by a 64-year-old woman, police said. The CRV continued southwest before it drove onto a sidewalk and struck a tree, police said.
Emergency crews responded, treated and transported the woman in the CRV to hospital, but she later died.
Paramedics also treated and transported the 26-year-old woman to hospital for precautionary reasons, but no other injuries were reported.
