Woman charged for stabbing boy, 7, in Rogers Park​on May 19, 2025 at 1:45 pm

A woman was charged for stabbing a seven-year-old boy in the Rogers Park neighborhood on Saturday, according to Chicago police.

The suspect, 26-year-old Llovana Torres, was arrested Saturday around 9:50 a.m. in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue in Evanston. She was identified as the person who used a knife to stab a seven-year-old in the 1700 block of West Touhy Avenue around 8 a.m. on Saturday, police said. The victim was transported to Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago initially in fair condition.

Torres was placed into custody. She has been charged with one count of aggravated battery to a child and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
