Woman fatally struck in Gurnee, police say​on April 3, 2025 at 6:51 pm

GURNEE, Ill. (WLS) — A 33-year-old was fatally struck in north suburban Gurnee Wednesday night, Gurnee police said.

Authorities initially said it was a hit-and-run.

Authorities responded to the scene at about 8:04 p.m. to the 2100-block of North Delany Road.

Police said the woman was crossing in the middle of Delany Street and was not in the crosswalk when she was hit by a truck.

Delany was closed during the investigation but it has since reopened.

Further details were not immediately available.
