A deadly car crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway shut down outbound lanes at 87th Street early Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.
CHICAGO (WLS) — A deadly Dan Ryan Expressway crash impacted traffic on Chicago’s South Side for hours on Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. on Interstate 94 at 87th Street. All outbound lanes are shut down at the scene.

At least one person died in the three-vehicle crash, ISP said.
Video from the scene shows a semi in the now-closed lanes.

Lanes reopened just after 9:15 a.m.
What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.
