Chicago police conducted an investigation Sunday outside the AMC River East 21 movie theater on East Illinois Street in River North.
CHICAGO (WLS) — There was a large police presence Sunday after a 46-year-old woman was shot near a movie theater in downtown Chicago.

Police could be seen investigating an incident after 8 p.m. outside of the AMC River East 21 theater in the 300 block of East Illinois Street in Streeterville.
A 46-year-old woman was nearby in the 400 block of North Columbus Drive when she was shot in the arm, Chicago police said. She was taken to a hospital in good condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not yet known.

No further information was immediately available as police continue to investigate.
