We have a stretcher called for Indonesian defender Mees Hilgers.

No need in the end, he gets to his feet as soon as the stretcher arrives, but it seems he has a leg or groin issue.

Sandy Walsh comes on to replace Hilgers.

Right back into the drama in this second half, with Cameron Burgess giving away a penalty on Ole Romenij.

Calvin Verdonk takes the kick, but the wall of Australian players deflects the free kick.

Romenij gets a shot on target minutes later, but the safe hands of Matty Ryan make another epic save.

Momentum is building here for Indonesia.

We’re into the second half in Sydney.

A couple of substitutions for the Australians, with Craig Goowdin and Brandon Borrello coming onto the field in place of Martin Boyle and Adam Taggart.

That’s half-time in Sydney, where the Socceroos hold a comfortable 3-0 lead against Indonesia.

A good first half from the home side, after a nervous start that included an early penalty kick for Indonesia, but Australia managed to pull it together following a successful penalty of their own.

Half-time: Australia 3, Indonesia 0

We have six minutes of stoppage time added to this first half.

Indonesia are keeping up the aggression as we near half-time, while Australia have taken the foot off the accelerator just a touch.

The Australian team pinball the ball back and forth in the box before Jackson Irvine gets a shot on goal.

The opportunity comes from a lovely pass back in from Nishan Velupillay and Lewis Miller, and Irvine takes his chance.

Indonesian keeper Maarten Paes saves the first attempt, but with the ball back at Irvine’s feet and Paes on the ground, the Aussie veteran gets his first goal of the night, and the third for Australia in this match.

That’s Irvine’s 12th goal for the Socceroos, and it comes eight years after he scored his first-ever goal for the national team, coincidentally at the same venue.
