Berks LaunchBox presents a women’s networking event — “Female Entrepreneurs: Overcoming Challenges, Building Businesses with Success,” 6 to 8 p.m., at Berks LaunchBox, Goggleworks Center for the Arts, Suite 105, Reading. Join two entrepreneurs as they share their personal stories, the challenges they faced and the strategies they used to move forward. The panel includes Lucine Sihelnik, president & CEO of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, and co-founder of the Great American Creamery, who will appear in-person; and Haley Marie McClain Hill, founder of TORCH Warriorwear, former NFL cheerleader, and U.S. Air Force Veteran, who will appear via Zoom. The Manufacturers Resource Center will host an “Automation and Manufacturing Technology Show,” 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Delta Hotel by Marriott, 7736 Adrienne Dr., Breinigsville. The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will host “MFG IP WORKSHOP: Building the Future; High School Internships in Manufacturing,” 9 to 10:30 a.m., Brentwood Industries Corporate Offices, 500 Spring Ridge Drive, Wyomissing. Learn how Brentwood Industries added a rotational internship experience in place of a traditional high school internship program to enhance the learning experience for students. Speakers are Alexa Wojciechowski, community & educational coordinator at Brentwood Industries; and Kristi Bonanno, internship program & school-to-work coordinator at Governor Mifflin High School. Jillette will share insights into his career in show business, his partnership with Teller, and will share some magic tricks. The GRCA will also present its Business Excellence Awards.
