Prime Minister Mark Carney is qualified, but is facing a tariff war and decades of Canada’s dependence on U.S. trade. He’s supporting tariff-affected industries and projects to increase international trade. He is also facing 10 years of past deficit spending and needs money to tackle all these problems.
Even Alberta Premier Danielle Smith praised Carney for supporting the projects while talking to him about possible projects for her province.

PSYCHOS CELEBRATE
The psychos out there who think it’s entertaining to celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk should face some stiff consequences. No matter who you agree or disagree with, this kind of reaction demonstrates the absolute disgustingly depraved person you truly are.

I cry for Charlie Kirk, his wife and his two young children. I would never celebrate anyone’s tragedy no matter how much I might dislike them.
These people should take a look in the mirror to see how truly pathetic they have become.

KIRK WAS AMERICAN ICON
Re: LILLEY: Stop calling people Nazi or fascist because you don’t like their politics, online, Sept. 12
Columnist Brian Lilley is correct that labelling anyone with such terms can encourage violence, as witnessed by the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, a devote Christian, started Turning Point USA at 18 and pushed a message of free speech and debating different viewpoints.
Kirk was particularly affective encouraging conservative university students to express their views rather than to keep accepting left-wing ideology out of fear. When killed, he had more than five million followers on X and had become known around the world.
Kirk’s widow declared recently that Turning Point will actually now likely become even greater because of the attempt to silence his message. At 31, Kirk had become an American icon and accomplished what no one else had done in getting young people engaged in politics.
