Re: JAY GOLDBERG: Carney’s plan to recognize a Palestinian state rewards terrorism, online, Aug. 1

Like British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Mark Carney, through his actions, proves violence works. It gets terrorists the results they want. Gazans are mere pawns to them. And hostage-taking is a successful tactic accepted by weak-kneed Western politicians.

Carney and Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand are acting like loyal Hamas apologists.

But this is no surprise given Canada’s own lax legal system that sets criminals free, and the attacked (like those on Oct. 7) are abandoned for life.

Time for Carney and the wife to return to their U.K. fantasy island.

Carney: worse than Trudeau.

Is it any bloody wonder the majority of Canadians have nothing but disdain for politicians?

It’s bad enough they are driving our debt into the stratosphere and ultimately reducing us to just above Third World status, all in the name of green.

This latest announcement that Mark Carney (not Canadians) will recognize Palestine statehood is why voters have had their fill.

While Hamas supporters break our laws and threaten our citizens, we will reward them for their good deeds.

Heaven help us, because we sure can’t count on those we elect to do so.

CARLETON PLACE

B.C. WANTS IT BOTH WAYS

At a recent news conference, British Columbia Premier David Eby tried his best to evade reporters’ questions related to pipelines. This while his province remains the top exporter of coal in this country; millions of tonnes of B.C. thermal coal is shipped to Asia along with millions of tonnes of Wyoming and Montana thermal coal shipped through the ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert.

The province of British Columbia is shipping thermal coal from the U.S. to Asia and yet has not agreed to ship fossil fuels from Canada through its ports. Any talk from B.C. regarding carbon or climate change in the same sentence as pipelines is both dishonest and deceitful, and completely undermines B.C.’s climate credibility.
