I agree with some, but not much, of what Bruce Deachman says in this column. I don’t think Pierre Poilievre needs to change much, if anything. He’s articulate, factual (Liberals hate facts) and even manages to add some humour when discussing issues.
Pierre hasn’t shown “contempt” for public service unions, other than stating yet another fact — that the unions will back the hand that feeds them.
Like it or not, Canada is broken thanks to more than 10 years of Liberal policies that have done nothing to help this country and its citizens prosper. That’s not going to change with Mark Carney at the helm.

I’m thrilled Pierre won the byelection (but I’m disappointed that he’s no longer my MP) and it gives me hope that we can still save the country.

UNFAIR TREATMENT ACROSS CANADA
My title for this letter, Unfair treatment across Canada, of course does not apply to Ontario or Quebec, where blinders are put on when it comes to equal treatment for all Canadians. Case in point is a recent letter to the editor in the Ottawa Sun in which the writer wrote on how Mark Carney (and it is not only him as it relates to past leaders) was fighting to safeguard “supply management” for the diary industry, or other industries within Ontario and Quebec.
However, as pointed out, when China recently introduced a canola tariff (affecting western provinces), all parties remained silent. It is sad that politicians only see the two named provinces as Canada and forget the rest.

I urge all Canadians, in order to have a better understanding of how Canadians are treated unfairly, to read Donald Savoie’s book Canada: Beyond Grudges, Grievances and Disunity. After reading this insightful book, Canadians will have a better understanding on how the system works.
