First it was Chris d’Entremont and now another traitor, Michael Ma, crosses the floor. Watching Mark Carney gloat was despicable.
The traitors’ excuses were absolutely pathetic. They said they were listening to their constituents. What a bunch of hypocritical baloney. They just demonstrated that they don’t care one iota about their constituents who voted them in. They did it for their own selfish reasons because no doubt something is in it for them.
This should be illegal and they should both resign.

CROSSING SHOULD TRIGGER BYELECTION
One thing that needs to change in politics is, if a person elected to power under a Liberal, Conservative or NDP banner decides, after talking to God himself, that he needs to switch allegiances, then a byelection must be held before he can assume the new position.

The vast majority of people vote for the party and not the individual candidate, and it leaves them dumbfounded that their democratic decision means nothing.
Is it any wonder politicians have an approval rating just slightly ahead of phone-call scammers!

TURNCOATS CROSS
I wonder what Mark Carney promised the Conservative MPs to cross the floor so he would get a majority government and continue with Justin Trudeau’s destruction of our country.
Unless some Liberal has a conscience, we will never know. We do know that whatever it was it will cost taxpayers money.
They had a name for people like these Conservatives during the war: turncoats.

SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN
I think the story that isn’t being told regarding elected MPs or MLAs crossing the floor to join another party is the impact it has on voters and our trust in the electoral system.

It doesn’t matter what party an elected representative is coming from or going to. If they were elected under a certain party, they should not ever be allowed to cross the floor and join another party. This is betrayal of the citizens in that riding and a betrayal of the system.
No wonder Canadians are so cynical.
