Easy there, Warren, your true colours are showing. Praising Chrystia Freeland? Really? Praising her for all that she did? How about those little things called debt and deficit? Canadians will be paying for decades trying to dig us out of this hole.
Praising Freeland is like praising someone who sinks a passenger ship and then takes a rowboat out to save a few.
She saw the writing on the wall, and only then did she take down Justin Trudeau, strictly for her own gain.

COULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN?
Could a Liberal explain this new position for Chrystia Freeland? She was a disaster as finance minister, walking hand in hand with Justin Trudeau with his absurd spending, and now she is going to be the special representative for reconstruction of Ukraine. And would you not appoint this position after the war ends?

EASY MONEY INDEED
Re: Speed cameras easy money, letter to the editor, Sept. 13
I have to totally agree with letter writer Jill Young.
Plus, aren’t speed cameras just modern hi-tech police, catching speeders much like we use self-checkout, self-serve gas, etc.? Mr. Ford, did you get caught, thus the hissy fit about speed cameras?

CANADA, WE CAN’T STOP NOW
Every day, millions suffer needlessly from AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, which are preventable and treatable. In the face of this human struggle, our inaction becomes harder to justify. Global health threats are rising, inequalities are widening and we risk losing decades of progress if we do not maintain bold leadership.

Canada has historically been a crucial partner in the Global Fund to Fight Diseases, helping to save millions of lives and to build stronger health systems in low- and middle-income countries. But the fight is far from over. Funding shortfalls, emerging health risks and gaps in access for marginalized populations threaten forward momentum.
We urge the Government of Canada to continue and increase its support. By strengthening our commitments today, we can help win the fight against TB, AIDS and malaria, ensure health equity and protect lives globally.
