A commercial on TV shows a young person relying on his phone for a lesson on how to change a baby’s diaper. Why bother using your common sense for solving things when you can just ask your phone?

I see more and more where people summoning their phones for the simplest things. Eventually people won’t be able to think for themselves.

I’m glad I learned to figure out things the old-fashioned way. Using my head.

So here we go again with the NDP, with only seven seats, now playing kingmaker with an ultimatum to Mark Carney demanding what it wants or else! Let’s face it, the NDP is in dire financial straits and remains without a leader, so it does not want an election, meaning this is just bluster. Because of that, Carney knows full well that NDP support for his budget is guaranteed.

Hopefully the voters who again put us in this situation will continue to enjoy more of what they have seen in the last decade.

NOT A TAX GRAB? SURE

Regarding the speed camera issue, full disclosure, I’ve received two of these tickets over the last few years. The first one was for driving 54 km/h in a school zone on Meadowlands Drive during the “summer” when the camera was first installed.

Not a tax grab? Think again.
