Trevor Jacobsen and Tanya Goehring are the artist duo known as the Automatic Message. Their project titled EMDR is a four-channel film and sound installation that delves into Jacobsen’s own experience with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy. It’s a quadrophonic jump into PTSD, teen trauma and healing with an original electronic score.

It’s Western Canada’s premier melodic and power metal festival with a lineup of local, national and international acts ranging from Sweden’s Enforcer and Toronto’s Crimson Shadows to local faves Crüzer. All told, 15 acts will turn amps to 11 and bring the noize to headbanging fans.

Vancouver’s reigning post punk goth rockers Actors just keeps getting better with every release, as the latest single Objects of Desire makes very clear. The band’s live shows almost always sell out and are complete events. This gig with MøAA, Decomme and DJ Evilyn13 should be the place to be if you favour wearing black and avoid daylight.
