In a brazen daylight robbery, three armed bikers looted Rs 3.21 lakh from an employee of a gas agency in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, officials said on Saturday.
According to police, Rakesh Verma, a cashier of Nirmal Gas Agency, was on his way to deposit cash at a bank when the assailants struck. Verma, carrying a bag containing Rs 3,21,500, was intercepted by three masked men on a bike as he stepped out of the agency’s premises.

Armed with a pistol, the robbers snatched the bag and fled the scene.
The commotion following the robbery attracted local residents, and police were alerted. Officers arrived at the scene and began their investigation. Initial findings revealed that the suspects were captured on nearby CCTV cameras fleeing the area after the crime.
Speaking to the media, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vineet Bhatnagar confirmed the incident and stated, “A robbery involving Rs 3.21 lakh has been reported. We are actively investigating the matter, and efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits. They will be brought to justice soon.”
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
