At least 1 dead in wrong-way crash on Eisenhower Expressway in Hillside: Illinois State Police​on March 23, 2025 at 10:15 pm

HILLSIDE, Ill. (WLS) — A deadly wrong-way crash impacted traffic for hours in west suburbs on Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.

ISP said troopers responded to the crash on the Eisenhower Expressway at Wolf Road in Hillside just after 4:15 a.m.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash, which left at least one person dead, ISP said.

ISP said all other motorists involved in the crash were taken to local hospitals with injuries. The number of people hurt and the seriousness of their injuries was not immediately clear.

ISP said all inbound lanes were shut down at Wolf Road before reopening around 11 a.m.

What caused the crash was not immediately clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
