TRAVEL fans are set for a huge boost after a series of new flights to top cities have been announced by Irish airports for 2025.
Irish jetsetters are spoilt for choice now when it comes to booking a break away, with flights to almost every corner of the world on offer.
And many Irish airports have announced new flights just in time for the holiday season.
Dublin Airport is one of the busiest in the world, regularly welcoming hundreds of thousands of passengers through the terminals.
And for 2025, they have announced a range of new flights offering tourists access to 190 destinations around the world with over 2,600 flights per week.
The airport’s new summer schedule will see 1,400 weekly flights connecting to over 130 cities across Europe, up to 240 weekly flights to North America and direct connections to major US cities.
From yesterday, March 31, jetsetters can now fly to Stuttgart in Germany with Eurowings, on four flights per week.
Ryanair flights to Rabat also began yesterday, and will be held twice per week.
From April 12, jetsetters can fly with Aer Lingus to Nashville on four flights per week.
Aer Lingus will then introduce a new route to Indianapolis on May 3, offering four flights per week.
Delta Airlines will fly from Dublin to Detroit four times per week from May 8, while West Jet will fly to St John’s twice a week from May 22.
And from July 31, AnimaWings will join the fleet of airlines at Dublin Airport, flying to Bucharest three days per week.
The Irish airline has also announced plans to extended services to Malta, Marrakesh and Seville from Dublin.
CORK AIRPORT
Ryanair will implement a new flight route to Fuerteventura from Cork Airport this summer, making travel to the hotspot easy for many Irish tourists.
The airline will also increase the flights on 14 other popular routes to and from Cork.
This includes flights to cities like Alicante, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Gdansk, Girona, Liverpool, London, Malaga, Manchester, Mallorca, Paris, Reus, Seville, and Valencia.
Since March 30, Aer Lingus has flights departing from Cork to Lanzarote four times a week, and to Tenerife three times per week.
Aer Lingus will introduce new flights to Bilbao and Bordeaux this summer.
The airline will also begin direct flights to Palma de Mallorca five times a week from May 1.
Aer Lingus is also expanding its network from Cork Airport, with a new service to Glasgow and an increase in seats to Bristol.
The Cork to Glasgow route will run on an ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft, which is more environmentally friendly than regional jets and other turboprops, emitting 40 per cent less CO2.
The new service to Glasgow will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
On the existing Aer Lingus Regional service from Cork to Bristol, the airline is adding an additional 20,000 seats.
This will increase the service from six times weekly up to nine times weekly.
KNOCK AIRPORT
Knock Airport has announced a record summer with Ryanair, with 17 routes on offer to holiday hotspots like Alicante, Faro, Lanzarote, Malaga, and Tenerife.
There will also be increased flights on 8 popular routes including Alicante, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Faro, Liverpool, London (Stansted and Luton) and Malaga.
SHANNON AIRPORT
Shannon Airport has unveiled two new flight routes as part of their Summer plan for 2025.
And those jetting off can enjoy an extra 190,000 seats this summer as certain flights will be held more frequently.
These extra flights will translate into 16 extra weekly departures with Ryanair.
These include flights to Faro, Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Edinburgh and Porto.
With the first new route, you can now travel from Shannon Airport to the Portuguese island of Madeira.
The flights to Madeira will take place twice weekly, making it easier to get to the holiday hotspot popular with Irish tourists.
The airport is also introducing a new charter service to Palma with TUI.
