Earlier this Friday, Rose McCrossan led a vibrant and creative team at Raphoe Family Resource Centre as they launched an impressive array of kites at The Diamond, Raphoe.
The event marked the culmination of a series of social inclusion workshops, where participants had the opportunity to craft their own kites.
Organised in collaboration with Donegal Arts Service, the event brought together members of the local community, including children from two national schools, students from two secondary schools, young people from Raphoe FRC, and a diverse mix of other groups such as the Men’s Shed, Women’s Group, and Friday Club.
Each participant had the chance to either fly a kite they had created or display their homemade kites in the lively outdoor event.

Raphoe FRC was one of 10 Family Resource Centres taking part in this initiative supported by Donegal County Council and the Housing Finance Agency.
The initiative provided a unique platform for artistic expression and community engagement, highlighting the spirit of inclusivity and creativity in Raphoe.
