For 10 years, you have had the greatest player in the League since Gretzky. A Generational Player. You tried to build a great team around him. But there has been one problem the whole time. You have ruined his career with the worst goaltending in the league.
Kevan Allisen
(This doesn’t all fall on goaltending.)
No fear necessary
The fear and paranoia of the U.S. lately is frustrating and disappointing. As an Edmontonian who has just travelled to Los Angeles for a 3-day conference, I can unequivocally state that my travel experience was normal. The U.S. border patrol was welcoming and pleasant, as were all the Americans I encountered. I assured the Americans I met that some of us Canadians are not swayed by media and political panic, while the Americans were sympathetic to the current political situation, and sometimes apologetic about the current tension. My experience in the U.S. was the same as always, with Americans at my conference being wonderful and intelligent people. I encourage all Canadians to remember that while we are going through a challenging time, do not forget the wonderful friendship we’ve had with most Americans for a long time.

Not another term
How is it even possible that, in this day and age, a person would even suggest that a government should receive a fourth (or even a third) term in office?
This is a democracy, after all, and any stable person should realize that such a long-term government will feel that it is the only party able to lead.
Where does that leave the people?
Stephen Whelton
(It will leave millions of Canadians who won’t support the Liberals for another term wondering just how much worse things in the country will get.)
Running interference
I don’t know if I’m alone in this but I could swear that Jagmeet Singh was running interference for the Liberals during the federal leaders’ debate. Every time the Conservatives or Bloc were coming near to pinning Mark Carney down to get a clear answer from him on important issues, Singh interrupted. Is Singh setting himself up as the Liberals’ lapdog even before the election?
Lori Crank
(In short, yes — he was Trudeau’s hype man after all. But that’s assuming he is leader of the NDP after this election.)
