By recognizing a separate Palestinian state, Carney has also recognized the ruling party, which also happens to be a known terrorist organization, Hamas. What is next Mr. Carney, bringing the leaders of Hamas to Canada, to speak to MPs in Parliament, giving them a taxpayer-paid tour of Canada, making low- or interest-free loans so they can rebuild their arsenal? I think Mike Pearson is rolling over in his grave, because of your selfish and non-thinking actions. Shame on you, Mr. Carney.

(You are not alone in your views.)

Trump epitomizes fascism

Brian Lilley wrote a piece decrying the use of the term “fascist”. He said the word was bandied about too much. Sorry, Mr. Lilley, but Donald Trump is the epitome of the definition of the term. Erika Kirk forgave the killer of her husband. Rather than agreeing with her in an attempt to unite the country, this megalomaniac, Donald Trump, turned Mr. Kirk’s tribute into a rally, shouting that “he hates his opponents” and wants to crush them at any cost. This leader of the free world is the root cause of division in the United States. Charlie Kirk did not deserve to be killed for his views but let’s call a spade a spade, he exuded hatred in his rallies.

A cornerstone freedom

I was encouraged and to some degree reassured to learn that Jimmy Kimmel will return to TV. Nevertheless, I’m somewhat disappointed but not surprised that there are still some among us who’ve yet to learn that we must protect the freedom to express the thoughts we hate. Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of the part of the world we live in.

Paul Watkins

(It absolutely is.)

History lesson

Autism was formally identified in 1911. Tylenol wasn’t invented until 1955. The spike in diagnoses? That’s from expanded diagnostic criteria and awareness, no Big Pharma boogeymen. Stop blaming meds. Start reading history.

Paul Bacon

(We can learn a lot from history.)

Not political views

Repeat after me. Racism is not a political view. Homophobia is not a political view. Misogyny is not a political view. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Tim Bilida

(Thank you for getting to the point.)

From Liberal playbook

Finally someone is taking a page out of the Liberal party playbook. The CFL is changing the goalposts.

Perry Huber

(Ouch.)
