Several North Texas teams have earned their chance to play for a state title at the Alamodome in San Antonio!
SAN ANTONIO — The UIL Girls Basketball State Championship matchups are set, and teams across Texas are preparing for their shot at a title.
A total of 24 teams will compete at the Alamodome in San Antonio, including several from North Texas.
Championship games begin Thursday, Feb. 27, with the Class 1A and 2A matchups and run through Saturday, March 1, concluding with the Class 5A and 6A finals.
Below is a list of every North Texas team competing for a state championship, along with their game times.
1A-Division 2 | Saltillo Lions
The Saltillo Lions (34-6) vs. Nazareth Swifts (28-9)
- When: Thursday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m.
- Result: Nazareth Swifts win 53-31
2A-Division 2 | Martins Mill Mustangs
The Martins Mill Mustangs (34-2) vs. Farewell Steers (35-3)
- When: Thursday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m.
- Result: Martin Mills Mustangs win 43-41
3A-Division 2 | Paradise Panthers
The Paradise Panthers (27-10) vs. Kountze Lions (30-3)
- When: Friday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.
- Result: Kountze Lions win 69-40
3A-Division 1 | Fairfield Eagles
The Fairfield Eagles (32-6) vs. Tuscola Jim Ned Indians (35-2)
- When: Friday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m.
- Result: Fairfield Eagles win 50-44
4A-Division 2 | Dallas Lincoln Tigers
Dallas Lincoln Tigers (38-2) vs. Cuero Gobblers (33-6)
