SOUTHLAKE, Texas — The Medal of Honor motorcade will impact traffic as it travels from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Gainesville on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post from the Medal of Honor Host City Program, the motorcade is expected to leave from DFW Airport around 4 p.m. and arrive at Tractor Bob’s in Gainesville at around 5:15 p.m.
During this route, local law enforcement, first responders and motorcyclists will escort the motorcade through traffic.
Southlake DPS posted on X urging drivers to plan for delays along the route, which includes Highway 114. Traffic on that highway will be impacted between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. as it passes through the city.
In addition to traffic on Highway 114, Southlake DPS said the Carroll “Texas Turnaround” portion of the bridge will be shut down around 3:30 p.m.
“As in past years, we will do our best to update you with when the honorees’ plane lands at DFW Airport, the motorcade get on 114, and then passes through Southlake,” Southlake DPS said on X.
After the motorcade passes through Southlake, it will hop on I-35W. Delays should be anticipated there as well.
