Toronto Police said officers responded to a shooting Sunday in the Lake Shore Blvd. W.-York Ave. area — near Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena — just before 6 p.m. and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The homicide unit is taking over the investigation.
