Pedestrian dies after collision in Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood​on March 15, 2025 at 4:48 pm

A pedestrian died Friday in a collision with a vehicle in Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood.

Vancouver police say a man in his 50s was standing on the south side of West 12th Avenue near Hemlock Street just after 10 p.m.

Investigators believe the man collapsed on the road and was struck by an approaching vehicle travelling east on West 12th. He died after being hit by the car.

The driver did not stop and has not been located, police said in a news release Saturday morning.
