Broward County Public Schools was dealing with yet another student’s threat on Friday.
A Charles W. Flanagan High School student was arrested over graffiti in a restroom on campus, The Pembroke Pines Police Department announced Friday.
“There was no credible threat made against the students, staff or campus,” a department’s spokesperson wrote on X. “The school remains safe & secure.”
The student, a 17-year-old girl in 10th grade, appeared in juvenile court with her grandmother when the judge ordered a 21-day detention and a mental health assessment.
Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

The student, a 17-year-old girl in 10th grade, appeared in juvenile court in Fort Lauderdale with her grandmother.
“She knows that was a mistake,” said Connie Johnson, the teen’s grandmother. “She is very, very sad.”
Johnson also said her granddaughter has been having difficulty coping with the ongoing bullying at school.
Broward County Circuit Judge Stacy Ross ordered a 21-day detention and a mental health assessment and also issued a stay-away order.
