Service on portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth resumes after hours-long closure for watermain break, signal problems

Subway service along a portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth resumed just before 5 p.m. Tuesday after after a watermain break at Woodbine Station forced an hours-long closure.

TTC spokesperson Stuart Green told CityNews water was getting onto the tracks, which caused switch and signal problems.

The issue began around 1 p.m. on Tuesday and train service was suspended between Broadview and Victoria Park stations. Shuttle buses were running between the two stations.

TTC as well as Toronto Water crews were working to fix the multiple interconnected issues from the watermain break.

Just before 5 p.m. the TTC said full service had resumed.
