Smithens rose to fame while starring on Calgary-produced reality TV show Canadian Pickers. Smithens, and his costar Scott Cozens, filmed their travels across Canada in search of collectables and vintage items.

After bidding on one-of-a-kind items and speaking with experts, visitors are encouraged to explore the village, watching for ranch hands walking sheep and goats down Front Street. There will also opportunities to ride in a vintage sidecar and meet the Easter Bunny.

Guests are invited to pick up a treasure hunt checklist upon entry into the park and participate in Calgary’s Greatest Treasure Hunt. Rare antiques and other hidden objects will be located throughout the park, and a winner, taking home a $300 prize, will be drawn from completed checklists each day.

Heritage Park will provide visitors to the roadshow with a sneak peak at what’s ahead for the park’s 2025 season.

The event takes place April 18 to 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Heritage Park Historical Village. Tickets start at $19.95 for kids, and can be purchased for a single day or for the entire weekend.
