Snow expected to continue in Chicago Thursday morning with wind chills below zero​on January 23, 2025 at 2:52 pm

National Weather Service officials are expecting light snow to continue in the Chicago area in the morning, warning of slippery roadways and wind chills hovering to negative eight degrees by the night hours.

Current conditions at O’Hare International Airport are overcast at 22 degrees, and farther south at Midway Airport conditions are light snow with fog and mist at 26 degrees.

There is a 70 percent chance of snow in the area Thursday with temperatures in the low 20s, but conditions are expected to clear up eventually with wind chills as low as negative eight degrees.

Friday, there is a chance of increasing cloud coverage with temperatures in the low 20s with a chance of flurries.
