Ottawa police said Saturday that a man has been arrested in connection with a death that occurred Friday evening.

The suspect was not identified and no charges were immediately provided.

In a brief release Saturday, police said first responders were called to the scene at 8:10 p.m. A person was located with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to their injuries shortly after.

The investigation is ongoing and officers remain in the area.
