The popular family-run, cash-only food spot, located at 8 Kincort St. in the Castlefield Design District, is known for its traditional Italian baked goods and hearty hot table.

Of the nine infractions it received on April 1, two were categorized as crucial, one significant and six minor, according to Toronto Public Health.

It received a conditional pass and remains open during its regular business hours which are, all the time, as Commisso is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

That said, the Italian bakery’s two crucial violations were failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration and failing to ensure storage racks were designed to protect against contamination.

Commisso’s lone significant infraction was failing to provide an adequate number of hand-washing stations.
