A 20-year-old woman was discovered unresponsive and fatally wounded Friday night on the South Side in the Washington Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., officers and paramedics responded to a call of a person shot in the 5400 block of South Prairie Avenue. When they arrived, the victim was unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Saturday morning, a 32-year-old man also was found fatally wounded on the North Side in the Bucktown neighborhood.
Around 3 a.m., officers responded to a call of someone shot in the 2200 block of West Cortland Avenue and discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No one was in custody for either shooting and detectives were investigating.
