Like many others, I live in a riding where even a monkey would win for the Liberals. I have lost all hope of ever having a true democracy in Canada. Foreign interference, an opposition party propping up a government, untrustworthy media, among other things.

Congratulations, Liberal voters. You will be getting exactly what you deserve for rewarding scandal and incompetency.

Unfortunately, the rest of us will also have to pay the price and deal with what’s coming. It won’t take long for reality to rear its ugly head.

After the April 28 federal election, Canada should be referred to as The Bovine Nation.

The blustering American imperialist bully Donald Trump declared that Canada would be the 51st U.S. state. This meaningless nonsense somehow turned into the equivalent of a lightning bolt across the sky, and Canadian cattle stampeded and went over a cliff.

When Canadians who voted for the Liberal party greet one another from here on in, “moooo” instead of “hello” would be appropriate.

As a Conservative, I am obviously not happy with the outcome of the election, but have come to the realization that it wasn’t big, bad Donald who pushed everyone into voting Liberal, it was the fact that Canada has become a left-leaning country, addicted to big government and social programs.

I remember Stephen Harper saying it is very easy to give handouts to gain popularity, but it is not so easy to take them away.

We will see if Mark Carney is up to the task of reducing our debt and increasing our natural resource economy.

Time will tell, although time itself is in very short supply.
