The banning of speed cameras is another smart move by Premier Doug Ford. He knows that the majority of Ontario drivers both hate them and deem them as mostly a cash grab.

That being said, I believe most people do support red light cameras, as running a red light is much more dangerous then driving a few km/h over the speed limit. Hopefully these speed cameras can be relocated and converted to the red light type.

At the very least, all speed camera revenues from now until the ban takes place should be used to increase the number of red light cameras.

SPEEDERS DESERVE TO BE CAUGHT

Now we have the cash-cow argument against radar-issued speeding tickets. What a load that argument is.  Speeders deserve to be caught and punished.

I saw an interview with a police sergeant, years ago, in Calgary, who was being interviewed at a school crosswalk, and here was his observation:  I’m always startled at how many mothers, delivering kids to school, are given a speeding ticket in a school zone.

SOCIAL ENGINEERING PROBLEM

So how long will Canadians go along with the social engineering that is forced on us every day, by all levels of government, but in particular the feds.

In the last decade it has only escalated; everything from carbon tax to EV mandates to the confiscation of guns. Then, to make matters worse, the money raised goes to fund their pet projects.

The citizens of Ontario are long overdue to join their western allies and put a stop to it.

Then, after those 10 years, voters were presented the opportunity for change. Instead of taking advantage, they chose the same tired, ideologically handcuffed band that got us to this place.

Should those Liberal voters (sheep) not be held accountable somehow? If only …
